About Rev. Don:

Originally from Seattle, Washington, I have made my home in Louisiana for the past 27 years. I am an avid fan of the local music scene and an outdoor sportsman. If you want to know what to do while you are in NOLA, please ask. I can assure you that I know the "who, what, where, and whens" for a great honeymoon vacation! You can also visit my "Helpful Links" to see for yourself what is going on!

Credentials:

Both Samantha and I are ordained ministers with the Universal Life Church, and we are registered in Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Tammany Parishes to legally perform your wedding in New Orleans and surrounding areas.

We are also active members of the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention & Visitor's Bureau.

Accolades:

Reverend Don performed the first wedding in the French Quarter after Hurricane Katrina, LIVE on Good Morning America, Sunday, October 9th, 2005!

Congratulations to Reverend Don, and special thanks for his contribution in promoting the rebirth of New Orleans with his one-man internet PR campaign and by "inventing" the words Patriotourism ©™ and Patriotourist ©™!

Patriotourism is a recent, pro-active phenomenon, aimed at helping an afflicted area recover from a disaster.

The most recent example of patriotourism would be post-Katrina New Orleans, where tens of thousands of Americans are visiting regularly to assist in its recovery. As evidenced by both electronic and print media, including coverage of the New Orleans Saints first home game, which included performances by the politically active bands, U-2 and Green Day, and world-wide coverage of Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras, people are taking matters into their own hands. Often driven by a perceived lack of effort on the government's part, socio-politically active folk visit to spend their money, and make a difference on a personal level, and in doing so, get the personal satisfaction of having contributed to the general good of the area.

He was featured on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at 10:30 pm on WDSU's "6 on Your Side" program!

BEST SELLER!

The title may sound morbid when planning a wedding, but on a lighter note during our most difficult times, our "Love Among the Ruins" story was a light in our lives. Rev. Don asked Chris to report on the impending marriage and love story between Katie, a volunteer animal rescuer who quit her job to follow her heart, that led her straight to Paul, the military man who was asigned to protect her! It is included in Chris Rose's new edition of "One Dead In Attic". Rev. Don heard about the entry of our couple's story recently on WWL news radio and called in to speak with Chris -- and needless to say, we hope you will buy Chris' book for many different reasons -- the pain, the healing -- the REBIRTH -- and a little amore' along the way in post-Katrina New Orleans! Tell us what you think of Love Among the Ruins:
